Faruq Hunter

Mr. Hunter has spent more than 16 years in the international IT industry. Mr. Hunter advanced from the Florida Gifted and Talented Education program at Florida A&M University to began his collegiate studies as a 14 year old high school graduate in the International University of Africa in Khartoum, Sudan.
After years as a programmer and a systems analyst, Mr. Hunter co-founded his first software development company to address the technical adherence issues of mid-size companies effected by a broad shift of Fortune 2000 companies to automated supply chain management systems. During this period he consulted with companies such as Bellsouth, Coca-Cola and Delta to spearhead efforts that saved some of the countries most prominent mid-sized businesses hundreds of millions of dollars.
Mr. Hunter has also spent a considerable amount of time working in over 38 countries throughout Southeast Asia, The Middle East, Northern Africa, Central and South America and Eastern Europe. He has held positions as Chief Operations Officer, Chief Technical Officer and VP of Operations with various international companies.
Mr. Hunter currently holds positions as the Vice President and Chair of the technology committee for the World Trade Center Atlanta, Managing Director for Tenstep Kosovo, Advisory Board Member for several entities, Vice President of Professional Development for GAC IIBA and an active member of INFORMS, PMI, IIBA and TAG. |
