SMARTS is an acronym for a trademark IT Development and IT Governance process created by Genius Consulting, LLC. The acronym stands for Scaleable, Measurable, Accountable, Reliable and Traceable Software. SMART Software is driven by strategy and built to accommedate the changes that come from continuous business operations, marketing and sales.

SMART Software is a set of three process management disciplines that include a Waterfall software development process for major modifications, an Agile software development process for minor changes and Business Process Engineering and re-engineering process for integrating the software into the business. SMARTS is a wholistic approach to software development that provides a unique method to resource management to insure that the enterprises can leverage technology to its maximum capacity.

SMARTS is Genius Consulting's primary application and service delivery methodology and one of the few processes that integrate the disciplines and deliverables of waterfall methodologies in the rapid and growing development of the Agile methodologies.
